How To Fix A Frozen iPhone Print E-mail

Eventually your iPhone will run an application that freezes the phone.  Fortunetly there is an easy way to shut down the program or phone and get things running again.

Follow these steps for unfreezing an iPhone

  1.  First, try shutting down the phone by holding down the sleep/wake button on the top right side of the phone.
  2. If the application is still frozen, you can try holding down the home button for at least 5 seconds to see if that will shut down the application.
  3. If the first two steps do not work, try holding down the sleep/wake button and the home button.  This is pretty much like pulling the plug on your computer while its still running.  It will cut off power to the phone and restart it.  It will take roughly 60-90 seconds to start back up.
