How To Unlock A Joomla File |

Sometimes in Joomla and Mambo you will see a locked file icon next to a file that you wish to edit. Files are locked by Joomla beacuse of the following reasons; someone was timed out of an editing session, used the back button in a browser instead of the Joomla buttons or two people were attempting to edit the same file at the same time.
Joomla locks these files in order to proect data loss. The locked icon should remove itself once the threat to data loss is over, however, sometimes these icons stick around and make it impossible to edit your data. Luckily this is a very easy problem to fix.
To reset all locked Joomla files do the following
- Go to the System menu and click on Global Check In
