How To Remove Blood From Clothing Print E-mail

There are many different ways to remove blood from clothing or other materials. Listed below are some of the most popular methods.

  • Fresh stains can usually be removed by soaking the item in cold water

  • Older or set stains may be removed by using hydrogen peroxide. Be sure to agitate the material so that the blood can be lifted. (Do not used on colored items)

  • Oxy Clean has been shown to remove stains on almost any material. It is bleach-free so it shouldn't harm colored items.

Hint

The longer the stain is set in the material, the harder it is to remove. Make sure you at least soak the material in cold water until you have a chance to remove the stain.
