Can I Use Interior Paint Outside?

Question:  Can I use Interior Paint Outside?

Answer:  Interior paints are made only for interior application.  They lack mildewcides, insecticides and UV protection that exterior paitns have.  Interior paint can be used in sunrooms and breezeways but not anywhere where they will be exposed to weather.  On the other hand, exterior paint can be used for interior application in certain rooms, like garages and sunrooms as well.  Exterior paint does contain mildewcides and insecticides that should not be used in kids rooms or kitchens.
